Dr. Konstantina Karatrantou
Assistant Professor in Exercise for Health & Occupational Wellness, Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, University of Thessaly, Greece
Dr. Konstantina Karatrantou received her BSc in Sports Science (2008), her MSc (2010) and her PhD (2014) in “Exercise and Health” by the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science of the University of Thessaly.
She has worked (2010-2020) as a part time lecturer in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science of the University of Thessaly teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to physical fitness, exercise testing and prescription for promotion of health and occupational wellness. Since 2021, Konstantina Karatrantou is an Assistant Professor in “Exercise for Health & Occupational Wellness” in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science of the University of Thessaly.
She has published 9 books-book chapters and more than 45 peer reviewed papers in scientific International and Greek journals and has presented more than 80 studies in international conferences. As a principal investigator, she has completed two research - educational projects with total budget 195.000€. Furthermore, she has participated in more than 12 research projects as research partner.
Her research interests include the development, implementation and evaluation of exercise programs for promotion of healthy lifestyle in different target groups (children, adults and elderly individuals) as well as the development and implementation of occupational wellness programs.
