Dr. Anca Mihaela Hâncu, MD, PhD

Dr Anca Hancu is a medical doctor, who obtained her diploma in General Medicine and a master’s degree in nutrition at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hatieganu”, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. It was followed later by a PhD in nutrition at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila”, Bucharest, Romania. A diploma in management at Open University, Milton Keynes, UK are completing her studies. Her career path includes experience in medical marketing in pharmaceutical industry and lifestyle medicine related projects at national level. She is a public figure at the most important national private TV channel where she promotes the principles of healthy lifestyle.

Dr Anca Hancu recently became the Secretary General of the European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO) and as member of the ELMO Board she is in charge with the development and implementation of the criteria of accreditation the first lifestyle medicine centers in Europe, a process sustained by ELMO. She coordinated the first lifestyle medicine e-book in Europe with the support of ELMO. Recently she was asked to coordinate the first lifestyle medicine center in Medlife, the largest private medical network in Romania, where she will offer consultations and teaching patients about intensive lifestyle interventions.
