Dr. Asterios Patsiaouras PhD

Dr. Mag. Phil Patsiaouras is a research fellow (permanent staff) in Teaching Physical Education - Volleyball at the University of Thessaly Department of Physical Education & Sport Science in Trikala, Greece. He holds a Bachelor degree in Physical Education Studies from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc degree in Sport Psychology, and has a PhD in the area of Sport Psychology (in high Level Athletes) from Alma Matter Rudolphina Universitaet Vienna – Austria. Since 2000, he has been teaching undergraduate and post-graduate courses on subjects relevant to sport psychology. He is a Section Editor for the scientific journal of Physical Education and Sports (www.pepfa.gr). Dr. Patsiaouras has published widely on physical education, sport psychology, and high level performance, mainly in Volleyball. His work has been recognized through distinguished invitations from international organizations served as a Supervisor in CEV and BVA responsible, as a president of game Jury, for international volleyball matches. He was Board member of the Development Committee in the Hellenic Volleyball Federation.
Nowadays, he is elected vice President of Hellenic Volleyball Coaches Association
(seppe.com.gr) and he is elected President of the Volleyball Union in Central Greece
(espekel.com). Since 2015 he is an Expert Consultant for IKY and the Erasmus+KA2
projects in field of Universities and Sports and as a Evaluator for the Research
Promotion Foundation’s IRIS, (RPF) for Cyprus (IRID : 49880).
